Il ritratto fotografico per me...

Di fatto, fotografo da sempre. In particolare credo di aver sempre avuto una speciale predilezione per l’animo umano, in quanto amo le sue innumerevoli sfaccettature e le sue inaspettate particolarità. Credo che, se ci osservassimo con più attenzione, ci renderemmo tutti conto che, in realtà, ciascuno di noi è un mondo inesplorato e al contempo meraviglioso.

Ciò che a tutt’oggi mi emoziona è scoprire come durante una sessione di ritratto fotografico questi mondi sconosciuti tendano a rivelarsi e a mostrarsi. Fotografare è come intraprendere un viaggio esclusivo e magico di sola andata, dove il fotografo di ritratto ha un’opportunità davvero unica; >> quella di entrare in connessione profonda col soggetto fotografato, potendone scrutare insicurezze, timori e vanità, e, per contro, potendo donare un pezzo di sé e della propria personale visione del mondo.

I say this as a person who has always seen herself in photos as awkward, uncomfortable, out of place. And instead... everything changed with her.

Simona has a gift: she puts you at ease without forcing, she explains simply how to pose, how to move, how to bring out the best version of you. It makes you laugh, it gives you your time, and without even realizing it... it's you. Natural, true, finally beautiful even in photos.

She's not "just a photographer": it's an experience that changes the way you see yourself. From the one who hated having her photo taken... now I can't wait to do it again with her.

Kind, professional, competent, precise, and incredibly friendly! I don't like having my photograph taken: it makes me deeply uncomfortable, and I never like seeing myself in photos. Yet, Simona managed to perform a small miracle, making me feel at ease, relaxing me, and capturing my true essence in so many shots.
